POE IP Camera

POE IP cameras are modern devices used for monitoring inside or outside buildings. They are an alternative to the previously commonly used analog cameras. Thanks to the connection to the network, the image is visible on an ongoing basis, not only on the computer, but also on mobile devices, thanks to the use of an appropriate application.

IP POE cameras in the network

In cameras of this type, the connection to the power supply and data transmission is carried out using one cable. Thanks to this, their installation is simpler, as only one cable is required. This is currently the most numerous group of cameras in our offer due to their wide range of applications and functionalities. When choosing a specific model, pay attention to the parameters that are selected for your individual situation:

  • resolution,
  • lens focal length,
  • infrared filming (at night),
  • zoom,
  • tightness (important for external installation).

The cameras now also have a number of functionalities, thanks to which they are able to recognize the threat even better. Here you can list options such as:

  • motion detection with notification to e–mail address or mobile application,
  • crossing a defined line,
  • gathering detection,
  • face recognition,
  • disappearance from the field of observation of the object.

Thanks to the fact that the image in real time is available on the web for viewing, you can keep track of what is happening in its field of view. This gives you a chance not only to avoid burglary, but also to observe what is happening to the dog left at home or with children.

The most important parameters of IP POE cameras

As mentioned above, surveillance cameras have a number of basic features and additional functions that improve their operation and expand the scope of their operation. It is worth discussing them so that Zintronic.pl customers can fully consciously choose exactly the product that best suits their needs.

Lens focal length. It depends on it how the angle of the field of view will cover the eye of the camera. It might seem that the bigger the better, because it allows for even better monitoring of the environment. Unfortunately, in this case, we get an image with much less detail. When choosing a camera, you should therefore take into account what your goal is and what will be important in the recorded material - a general record of the situation or details, such as facial features of people passing in front of the camera.

Resolution. Of course, the bigger, the better. Remember, however, that with high resolution comes a large amount of data. Therefore, you need to buy disks that will be able to store this amount. The solution may be to match the resolution to where it is located. Many cameras also allow you to manually select the area on the screen that will be recorded in higher resolution. This can be useful, for example, in a parking lot, to accurately register the number plates of cars that stop in front of the barrier.

Infrared filming. This is a feature that allows you to record images at night. 24-hour monitoring makes sense only when the night-time image is readable, even at a basic level. Filming with the use of infrared gives fantastic results even in such darkness, in which the human eye is unable to recognize the outlines of things and shapes.

Variable focal length, i.e. zoom. It gives the possibility of zooming in, thanks to which it becomes real to notice important details. This is a particularly important function when the monitoring is operated by an operator who monitors a specific area on an ongoing basis. Thanks to the variable focal length, he can do his work precisely and notify the appropriate services when he notices something inappropriate.

Tightness. The higher it is, the more resistant the camera will be to adverse weather conditions. Let's pay attention not only to moisture, but also, for example, to pollination. This can be important especially in industrial plants, where yards are often covered with dust. High tightness will ensure uninterrupted, trouble-free operation of the camera.
