Recorders

The recorders allow you to record the image from one or more cameras and record it on a disk installed inside the device. It can be said that it is the most important element of the video monitoring system. It has a dual function. On the one hand, thanks to it, we get the possibility to preview the image in real time, using a computer or a mobile device. On the other hand, this image is recorded on the hard disk, so at a later time there is an option to return to it and view the saved material.

Types of recorders

Digital recorders should be adapted to other devices that are in the monitoring system used. Therefore, our offer includes:

  • IP recorders,
  • POE IP recorders,
  • WI-FI recorders.

Therefore, when choosing a device, you should check whether the cameras work in the POE or WI-FI system. The quality of the recorder and its functionality are extremely important. It should be reliable as it depends on it whether the image will be saved. At zintronic.pl, we offer equipment only from proven, reputable companies that are appreciated by customers and work without any problems.

What to consider when choosing a registrar?

The first thing to note is the type of compression. H.265 compression is considered to be the most optimal. You get a high-quality recording that retains the necessary details, and at the same time the size of the saved data is reduced by almost 90%. As a result, more material is stored on the disk.

Besides, it is practical to enable logging when motion is detected. This allows you to save disk space in a situation when nothing is happening in the observed area, and therefore saving the image is not necessary. This way the most important moments are archived. It can be practical to set a schedule on the recorder according to which it enables data logging.

When buying, you should also pay attention to the monitor output (HDMI, TV, VGA). The function of operating the device via the network from the level of a mobile device is also desirable nowadays.

When choosing a recorder, it is worth considering that in the future we will want to expand the monitoring system with new cameras. It will then be important what number of channels the device supports. The scope is very large - from a few to a dozen or so.

Of course, you also have to make a key decision on whether you want to create a monitoring system based on an IP POE or IP WI-FI recorder.

POE IP recorders

These types of recorders are connected to cameras via a network cable. It is a solution that has quite effectively ousted the old, good analog cameras from the market. The image they collect is therefore sent to the recorder using a LAN cable. The advantage of this solution is its stability. The data transmission is not interrupted by anything, and it can only be interrupted by a power cut, unless, of course, an alternative power supply is connected. POE IP recorders are used in both external and internal monitoring. If we assume this type of solution at home or in an interior, e.g. in an office, it is worth considering at the stage of interior planning, not after finishing the finishing works. The necessity to lay the cable will require making carvings in the walls, which is often problematic.

WI-FI IP recorders

The second type are WI-FI IP recorders. In this case, the signal from the cameras is sent to the recorder using a wireless network. The advantage of this solution is that the monitoring system is easily installed at any time and can be used shortly after placing the cameras on the walls. The configuration is also simple, which is why the sets of cameras with WI-FI IP recorders are so eagerly used at home.

Live view

JAs already mentioned, the recorders perform two functions. Of course, they are responsible for saving the image on the disk, so you can restore it later. On the other hand, thanks to them it is possible to observe "live" what is happening in front of the camera lenses. It is used in order to be able to react to disturbing events on an ongoing basis. In many places it is very desirable, but for it to be effective, it is necessary to hire a person who observes the image from the cameras and follows what is happening in them with a watchful eye. It can be city monitoring, in the workplace or public institutions.

Live view is also eagerly used by private individuals to be able to observe what is happening in the house and its surroundings when the owners are away. If a motion sensor is installed, the viewer receives a message, thanks to which he is able to see what is happening in a given place immediately on the tablet or phone. Thanks to this, he can see if a thief is breaking into the house, or if it is just a neighbor's cat that has jumped over the fence and is walking around in a well-known area.
